Alisa Ashe has been with KIDS Place since 1992, starting her career as the sole employee of the new organization. She has served as Executive Director since that time.

Over the years, KIDS Place has seen many changes in its services to the area. Not only have the services increased, but so has staffing. Recently KIDS Place moved to a new campus in Franklin, NC.

"KIDS Place has grown due to the increased need in services," said Ashe. "We began our efforts serving Macon County and we have now branched out to serve the children, youth and teens of Graham County as well. This year we have already served as many clients as we did in all of 2023."

Ashe said that one child that suffers from abuse or neglect is too many. However she has dedicated most of her working career to serve thousands of clients.
